Graduate student, Lauren Martinez (piano performance) was accepted to present original research at the Rocky Mountain Music Scholars/American Musicological Society Rocky Mountain Chapter conference on April 1 at Utah State University in Logan. Lauren’s research, “Ernesto Lecuona: The Cuban Gershwin” comes out of her work in the Music Bibliography and Research course. Lauren worked closely with Dr. Lindsey Macchiarella for this project and has expressed interest in continuing on to study musicology at the doctoral level.
